Basketball

Basketball

1.     James Naismith invented basketball.

2.     He invented basketball at spring field college.

3.     He invented basketball in 1891.

4.     First, he analyzed the most popular games and noted the hazards and then, he decided that the ball should be dribbled and thrown.

5.     He was given 14 days to create an indoor game that would provide “athletic distraction” that would not take much room.

6.     They had a few other sports like (rugby, soccer, football, hockey, lacrosse, and baseball). But they wanted an indoor sport.

7.     It was different at the start, the players played nine verses nine, and used a soccer ball, and sometimes the players tackled the person with the ball.

8.     Some of the shots went over some of the players heads and some threw the ball to the goal in the middle of the court.


9.     Some of the rules in basketball today are different, and the materials used to play are different than when it first started, basketball has changed since then.
