Allergist/Immunologist
Duties and Responsibilities: An allergist
/ immunologist (commonly referred to as an allergist) is a physician specially
trained to diagnose, treat and manage allergies, asthma and
immunologic disorders including primary immunodeficiency disorders. These conditions
range from the very common to the very rare, spanning all ages and encompassing
various organ systems.
Salary:
$181,000-$202,000
Education:
It usually takes at least nine years of training beyond a bachelors degree for
a physician to become a Allergist/Immunologist. After completing 4 years of
medical school and graduating with a medical degree a physician planning to
specialize in allergy/immunology must next undergo 3 or 4 years of residency
training to become an allergist/immunologist
I would not like to become an allergist/immunologist because it dosent seem like the kind of job I would like to have and I don’t have an interest in
becoming one.
